RALEIGH, N.C. – June 15, 2010 – Kane Realty Corporation and Duke Realty Corporation today announced that UGL Equis Corporation and StriVectin Operating Company are relocating to CAPTRUST Tower at North Hills. Employees will begin moving into their ninth floor offices this week. Nearly half of the building is now leased.
“We’re excited to welcome UGL Equis and StriVectin Operating Company to CAPTRUST Tower at North Hills,” said John Kane, CEO and chairman of Kane Realty Corporation. “Their decisions to relocate to the tower are not just a testament to the building’s quality, environmental sustainability and modern design — but also show that North Hills is a destination where people want to work, live and play.”
UGL Equis is a global corporate real estate consulting and advisory firm that helps companies explore strategies to get the most out of their business environment. UGL Equis counsels pharmaceutical and life sciences, software technology, manufacturing and service industry companies.
“We are tenant advocates who counsel companies to choose business facilities that align with their goals,” said Brad Armstrong, senior vice president and co-head of UGL Equis’ Research Triangle Park office. “Moving our home to CAPTRUST Tower aligns with our goals for growth in this market by helping us reach a new set of prospects in downtown Raleigh while still serving our loyal clients in RTP.”
StriVectin Operating Company is the maker of StriVectin-SD® and NIA 24® skin care products. This fall, the company will introduce new formulas for its best-selling StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks and Wrinkles, and StriVectin-SD Eye Concentrate for Wrinkles.
Over the last few years, StriVectin Operating Company has maintained offices in RTP, acquiring and growing businesses in the health and beauty industry. Now, the company is expanding to house approximately 20 full-time employees in its 6,400-square-foot CAPTRUST Tower office, with additional space for training meetings and frequent visits from traveling executives.
“North Hills is a lively area that meets several needs for our employees and visiting executives,” said Melisse Shaban, CEO of StriVectin Operating Company and Raleigh resident. “The balance of work, dining, shopping and recreation choices in this area is a great benefit.”
UGL Equis is already getting involved in its new neighborhood as a sponsor of the Midtown Beach Music Series at North Hills. On May 27, eight local charities enjoyed VIP status at the concert courtesy of UGL Equis’ Community Service Appreciation Night.
“North Hills offers an urban environment where we can entertain current and future clients and become more visible in the community,” said Armstrong, who was also motivated to relocate to CAPTRUST Tower due to the building’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Status. CAPTRUST Tower is recognized for sustainable building practices and an environmentally conscious facilities management program. “Corporations we work with are analyzing these same issues and we want to set the right example.”
