CHICAGO, IL, April 19, 2010 - On Thursday April 22nd, UGL Equis Vice President Michael Hoadley is hosting a luncheon marking the 40th Annual Earth Day. The company-sponsored event will feature Mr. Mark Pruitt, Director of The Illinois Power Agency, who will be speaking about Renewable Energy Finance and Development in the State of Illinois. The event will be held at The 53 Acre Campus of Fox River Country Day School, formerly the Chicago Junior School in Elgin, IL, an Illinois Natural Heritage Landmark.
The Illinois Power Agency, a two year old entity, is charged, among other things, with procuring a diverse electrical supply portfolio to ensure the lowest total cost over time for adequate, reliable, efficient, and environmentally sustainable electric service according to (20 ILCS 3855/) Illinois Power Agency Act. The cost effective renewable resources in the portfolio will reduce long term direct and indirect costs to consumers by decreasing environmental impacts and by avoiding or delaying the need for new generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure.
Mark Pruitt is originally from Schaumburg, a 1990 Graduate of Bradley University in Political Science and Secondary Education, he received an MBA from UIC in 2007 where he also worked from Sept 02' to April of 08' when he assumed his current role.
